Bulldog in Centerville

We started out and a few miles into the ride we experienced something we had not in a few days - The Sun.

Harry and Karen were feeling a little down today as we did not stop by a store with their Cold Starbucks coffee. They needed the caffeine to get going. At the 39 mile mark there was a SAG and Willie decided to ride with us again. He waited for us and after seeing Harry laying down trying to get a little sleep, me laying on the curb eating a banana, Karen sitting down and relaxing and Alec on the phone I think he started to second guess his decision. After about another 15 minutes we were on our way.

After about 30 minutes we were entering another town and a car passed us and a young girl taking a photo yelled out Hi Daddy. After nearly having a heart attack I recognized that it was Willie's daughter. Willie's wife and 2 daughters had taken a 42 hour train ride to surprise him this morning in Indianapolis and were driving to tonight's destination.

We proceeded to a DQ to eat lunch at the 70 mile mark. Willie came up big as we would have passed it if he had not seen it. Perhaps his plan to overthrow the order of the group will come to fruition.

We passed through the town of Centerville and I found a picture that I hope the person that I live with and related to by marriage will appreciate.

Willie has been visiting first responders (either Fireman or police officers). When we entered Richmond we saw a fire station and pulled in. Willie explained why he wanted to speak with them. They were very nice and appreciated that we appreciated what they do for the community.

As we neared town we hoped we could find another Starbucks. We found one. It is a nice way to end the ride. Another friendly welcome from the hotel.
