Today was about getting from one hotel to another and resting. We decided to take our time. We stopped at our first SAG at 32 and then proceeded to the Dairy Queen for some lunch. I bought Alec lunch to make amends for leaving him without a cue sheet.
The terrain was pretty flat, but sometimes the pavement was not very good. There is really no shoulder to speak of so when we bike in the same lane as cars, we yell out "car back" so we can get in as a straight line and let the car pass.
It is mostly farm land that we pass and it seems as if the farmers that we pass are doing well based on the size of their houses. As a non-farmer the land seems so vast and never ending.
At the end of today's ride Harry and Karen discussed changing the name of our group to the Dalton 4. No more amigos, no more musketeers.
Tomorrow I will bring my bike to Champaign Cycles and hopefully they can resolve my shifting problems as the hills of Ohio beckon. Tonight I hope to watch the whole Laker Game.
